LAHORE: Punjab Safe Cities Authorities (PSCA) is considering to challan pedestrians for violating zebra crossing while crossing the road.
The PSCA authorities said that over 8,000 cameras were installed throughout the city to monitor the traffic situations.

The authorities have urged the citizens (with or without vehicles) to observe traffic rule to avoid chances of being challaned for violation.
Every bus, car, bike or any other vehicle will be monitored to check that all are following the traffic rules strictly.
Earlier, PSCA introduced e-challaning to fine the offenders of traffic rules at the registered address against their vehicles.
In case, any person failed to pay the fine, his vehicle or bike will be seized.
Early this week, on the orders of the Lahore High Court (LHC) the City Traffic Police (CTP) launched a crackdown against the motorcyclists for violating helmet rule being enforced.
City Traffic Police (CTP) continued taking stern action against motorcyclists for not wearing a helmet and traffic wardens have also started warning citizens about the issue.
The CTP also fined 5,904 bikers on not wearing a helmet on Wednesday.
