PESHAWAR: Two people killed and seven were injured during a faceoff between two groups over a petty dispute in the jurisdiction of Regi Police Station on Sunday. Details revealed that the situation was initially triggered due to a petty dispute between the two groups which later escalated claiming two lives on the spot and leaving seven others injured. The deceased persons were identified as Pir Muhammad and Sher Rehman, both belonging from Lakri Chowk. Pir Muhammad’s two brothers who were accompanying him were critically injured, police reported. The other five injured were identified as Tuheed, Zakir, Nasir, Inam Ullah and a passerby Zakira. Immediately after the incident rescue teams and heavy contingent of police reached on the spot and shifted the injured to nearby hospital for medical treatment.
