ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Wednesday gave his approval to file corruption references against ex-PM Yousuf Raza Gillani among several other individuals.
Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, former information secretary Farooq Awan, ex-IPO Muhammad Saleem, former Universal Service Fund company secretary Syed Hassan Sheikh are on NAB’s radar over allegations of corruption and misuse of authority.
NAB also approved to file corruption references against Midas CEO Inam Akbar and several employees of the information ministry.
The aforementioned individuals are accused of misuse of powers causing a loss of Rs 128.07 million to the national exchequer.
The decisions were taken during a NAB executive board meeting chaired by Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal.
